Paws Awhile Online Community combines social networking with a pet lovers e-zine.
Just as in other social networks our members can set up profiles, meet and add friends, view other members profiles, share as much or as little information as they want, chat and have fun. What makes us different from Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo and the others is that our members are accountable for their actions. Our members are required to have a valid email address and accounts are authenticated. This makes our site too risky for predators and hackers. We also strictly prohibit spamming, email harvesting and personal information gathering and will actively remove members that engage in such practices.
As a e-zine (or internet magazine) we feature informational articles, news stories, podcasts, blogs, and videos. We feature insider knowledge on the issues that affect your four footed family. We have interviews with authors, trainers, veterinarians and other pet professionals. We also have a service directory and a travel guide. Members can review and rate businesses and services. Unlike print magazines our content is updated daily.
Although we request that members be at least 18 or over to sign up Paws Awhile Online Community is a site where younger family members can visit comfortably.
